There was a fable which most of us would have heard in our raw ages- how a sparrow was caught in a net by a chaser, tried hard to do break free, when other sparrow friends came to her rescue. They all got together and flew away to the forest along with the net. In the forest, a rat friend bit away the net with his teeth, and saved the sparrow. Moral: Together, a team can cross all hurdles. Such Team Building Aesop’s fables are commonly used today.
Team Building isn’t marked by the concepts of age, time or space. It’s something that is taught to us since nursery, is on the top-most-agendas list in management schools, and is given due importance in companies and corporate firms. The importance of Team Building is emphasized so much that there are special Team Building training institutes that conduct team workshops.

I’m not a guru. I hardly know everything about life, or, for that matter, anything BIG. Besides, my education is pretty less because I couldn’t afford to do any MBA as of now. All I know are little, little things learned from my several real life experiences and the only sense I have is commonsense.
I live simple. I think simpler. And I communicate the simplest. I can only listen to my heart and can just talk my mind. Though it doesn’t necessarily mean that whatever I communicate is always right or ultimate; err is human… and I’m no animal either.
In fact, my English is also not up to the mark. Some people always find follies in my lines (and between the lines). I can understand and appreciate their concern for my language, as I know they do care for me.
But again, as you know, the world is full of careless, casual and unconcerned people; they keep reading my stuff – grammatical errors notwithstanding – so I keep writing for them.

Why “ Teambuilding ” Doesn’t Work
Are you wasting valuable training and operational dollars?
We’ve all been there before. A senior management meeting, message or conference includes a fun ‘ teambuilding’ event where everyone gets engaged in some team activity or challenge.. And every year people look towards it with mixed feelings as they, and large numbers of colleagues participate in activities from laser shoot-em ups to go-kart racing and rah-rah events. A week later, managers are wondering why their teamwork is still mediocre. The truth is that almost every dollar spent on these feel-good programmes has an extremely low return on investment.
People who are in a decision-making position in your company that sees them buying services of such team events/programmes, will continue to waste your company’s funds and here’s why:
1) the vast majority of decision makers fail to distinguish between teambuilding processes and outcomes, and team bonding events. The latter produce very little real ROI except provide some pleasant distraction for your staff for a day and some very temporary heightened sense of well-being. Their decision to buy into such a programme is largely focused on what games and activities that will be provided and at what price.

Web Development and Web Design
Influenced with each other Together has webpackages
Take any product you have bought recently and look at it closely. Setting aside its primary purpose, what actually convinced you to buy it? Is it the appearance or its effectiveness? If this is the first time you have bought the product, you probably have picked it up assuming it would do what its manufacturer claims it does. If the product did not have the label or the webpackage it presently has, would it make a difference to the way you perceive it? What if the product is wrapped or packed in a dull and unimpressive manner. Would you still buy it? Most of us would not unless you know the effectiveness of the product.
However, where first impression counts, appearance does matter. This applies to every product or service; even a website. If a website does not look appealing, the chances of a visitor proceeding to read the content on it is reduced drastically. On the contrary, a visually impressive web portal will motivate the visitor to find out what the website has to offer.

The entrepreneur faces a moment of truth when he and his partners have grown the company to a sufficient degree to take it to the next level. At that stage it becomes imperative to hire a professional as a functional head say a CFO. Obviously the top manager needs to fill in the skill set the founders may lack. It must also be recognized by founders that this skill set is absolutely vital to succeed.
The founding partners find it difficult (esp. when founders are friends and family ) to cede control to the CFO designate, since it also means giving up certain powers and also business secrets (which the entrepreneur is paranoid about) .
The Top Six Things to consider while setting up a top management team are outlined below
Try and first source from professionals in your network.
They might not be the best person suited for the job, but ‘trust’ is an important criteria at this stage, esp. for a CFO. In circumstances where you cannot find individuals who match at least 50% of skill set required, then use a professional head hunter and do an extensive reference check.

Some of the best ways to build a list isn’t just by giving away free reports. Joint Ventures are one of the most powerful ways to build a list. The simple way to do this is go through the other websites in your niche and contact the owners selling similar products and services to you. For more help visit to: www.build-huge-list.com.
Once you have a few people you think could be related to your site you now need to contact a couple of them. This will be a simple “capture swap” on your thank you page from either an opt in form or sales page.What you do it host your competitor’s capture form on one of your thank you pages. You then get them to do the same. Every time someone get to that thank you page you then have the opportunity for that customer to opt in to your competitor’s list and visa versa. This means you will double your list building efforts and have fresh leads coming in from two sources all in the time it took you to copy and paste some code! Now you can take this a step further and contact several competitors and do the same for each product you have. You could even maximize your earnings a bit more by also putting links to their products on your thank you pages, using your affiliate link of course. (more…)
Imagine walking up to a man trying to chop down a tree in the forest. He is struggling with all his might and yet he has barely made any progress.
You look at him and you see that he is chopping at the tree vigorously and he has been at it for quite some time and he is intent on getting the tree to down.
He has a single focus and is using all the proper leverage and perfect technique, but as you get close, you see there is one thing out of place.
He is using a dull blade. You say to the man “Hey buddy why don’t you just sharpen your blade, you’ll get the job done twice as fast?” He replies “No time, can’t you see I’m trying to chop down this tree?”
Well, when I first started network marketing I was this guy out in forest trying to chop down my tree of successfully building a down line

Are you wondering how team building events will save you money in the long run?
Discretionary effort is about employees doing that little bit additional in the ordinary work day – finishing off a report today rather than leaving until tomorrow and planning for the weekend. It is not about working longer but being more productive during the normal working day.
If we can encourage all staff to optimise their discretionary effort, it is easy to see how it will impact productivity for little increased cost. To put this into figures the Hay Group looked at companies whose management team encouraged discretionary effort compared to those that did not.
They experienced a 43% increase in revenues!
They also estimate that high performing workers (those who give more discretionary effort) are 20% more productive.

Californian Jimmie Johnson made NASCAR history by becoming only the second driver to win three consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (2007 – 2008). The 33 year old has dominated the second most popular and the second richest motorsport after Formula One, claiming 42 race wins in his career.
Johnson is part of the highly successful Hendrick Motorsports team and he and his trusty Lowe’s Chevrolet Impala had to wait patiently until the tenth race of the season, the Subway Fresh Fit 500, to claim his maiden victory of the year.
It appears he only found his fighting form in the latter part of the year when it really counted. He claimed three of the ten 2008 ‘Chase for the Championship’ events, putting him in an unassailable lead for the NASCAR crown yet again.
Johnson’s 2008 Victories
* 12 April – Subway Fresh Fit 500 – Phoenix International Raceway
* 27 July – Allstate 400 at the Brickyard – Indianapolis Motor Speedway
* 31 August – Pepsi 500 – Auto Club Speedway
* 7 September – Chevy Rock ‘n Roll 400 – Richmond International Speedway
