The recent presidential election and congressional races were won as a result of our faltering economy. The $700 billion bailout, nor gimmicks and schemes could prevent the financial meltdown we’re currently experiencing in America.

With a new administration on the horizon, now is the perfect time to become a social entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur is a person that is passionate about strengthening their community by using their ideas, programs and projects to make a world of difference.

Why? The currrent administration refuses to allow any of the $700 billion bailout money to be used to prevent additional mortgage foreclosures, however our government continues to provide free grant money to nonprofit organizations.

Government agencies, state government and local government cannot solve all of the economic problems by themselves. Our government needs you and your nonprofit organization to solve problems such as affordable housing, at-risk youth workforce programs, senior assisted living facilities, daycare programs, and numerous other problems our country is faced with.

Hunger is the extreme form of poverty, where individuals or families cannot afford to meet their most basic need for food.

Most poor people who battle hunger deal with chronic undernourishment and vitamin or mineral deficiencies, which result in stunted growth, weakness and heightened susceptibility to illness.

Poor children are the most prone to this and are often the victims to malnutrition, deficiencies, diseases and ultimately deaths caused by hunger.

Today our world is home to 6.6 billion people. The United States is a part of the high-income group of nations which has a population of around 30 crores.

The total estimated population of the people residing in the first world countries is 1.9 billions. In contrast, approximately 4.7 billion people live in low and middle-low income economies.

One third of the poor and hungry population of the world resides in India.

India is one of the largest in these economies and has a population of well above 1 billion. A significant part of this population is still fighting with hunger of which a large percentage is children below 16.

GIVING WITHOUT LOVE?

One thing that will allow you to give what you have is when you’re in-love or you’re loving somebody. The BEST example of the act of giving because of love was already shown in the Bible and it says,

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life.” -John 3:16

This act of giving because of love have no criminal intent. Because of love you will give for others to live. You will act as donor with something to give because you know that somebody (acceptor) needs it. And the acceptors’ duty and part to play is to believe and receive your gift.

What will be the reaction and feelings of the donor, and what will happen if the acceptor refused to believe and accept the gift you are giving?

Is carpooling good?

Its very nice to write something about carpooling. This concept is getting popular day by day as it has become need of hour for all of us to share car / van / Taxi / Auto or any four wheeler journey to meet the rising fuel price, traffic congestions and air pollution.
No doubt , Govt of all countries is working very hard to fight against traffic problem by widening roads and making flyovers but the most important two facts which we all need to understand are:- First, there is a limit to widening Roads and making flyovers and thereafter we cannot widen roads or make flyovers. Second , there is no limit to increasing vehicles. Delhi is getting roughly 1000 new four wheelers on road everyday and this number will increase once low cost cars like Tata Nano are introduced to the market. Can we imagine traffic on roads after 1 year? Apart from increasing road capacity of handling traffic, we have to start thing about reducing traffic of the roads too. www.Poolmycar.in is doing efforts in direction of reducing traffic by pooling car other travelers.

Normally vehicle’s have fuel efficiency of 10 KM/L. If a vehicle runs 20,000 km/year , this means , it will consume 2000 L fuel in one year. Burning 1 L of petrol emits 2.5 kg of carbon dioxide. Thus the vehicle will emit about 5000 kg of CO2 in one year. An average mature tree can absorb about 4.5-5 kg carbon dioxide per year. Thus we need about 1000 mature trees to absorb the pollution (carbon dioxide) emitted by one car. If a single car is pooled, this could reduce four cars from the road which is equal to growing more than 4000 trees

Though you may have seen dozens of ads that advertise how you can get a tax deduction with the donation of your car, if you’re looking for a way to make a difference in someone’s life, donate your car to charitydispatch.com

Though charitydispatch.com represents many charities that accept car donations, Feel Better Kids, Inc. is a nationwide charity that offers a service to sick children and their families that is so desperately needed.

Everyone is concerned with the high costs of healthcare and health insurance. Just think about how terrifying it would be to be faced with the disability or terminal illness of your child when you have little or even no insurance.

Feel Better Kids, Inc. was established to aid children ages seventeen and younger who are disabled or terminally ill. The children assisted by this organization are from moderate income families with little or no health insurance. Going beyond ‘out of pocket’ medical expenses, they help with medical equipment, therapy, transportation to and from medical visits, surgery and more. They will help with any and all medical essentials that are deemed necessary for the well being of a child that are not covered through any other resources.

It has been several years since any changes have been made to the IRS form 990; however, 2008 marked the first year in nearly thirty significant changes have been made to the tax form. The form 990 is presented by tax-exempt organizations as a way to supply the public with financial information and to make sure these organizations are not exploiting their exempt tax status. The new form 990 requires tax-exempt organizations to report any administrator’s salaries that are in excess of $150,000 in the interest of transparency, consistency, and full disclosure. One organization that many are familiar with, the National Football League, feels they should not have to report this information to the public because it is unimportant.

For the past several years the only salary the NFL has submitted on the 990 has been Commissioner Roger Goodells which has been in the area of $10 million annually. With the new rule in tact the NFL would have to report approximately an additional 25 salaries. The NFL, a trade association, has gone as far as contacting the American Society of Association Executives in an attempt to establish a bill that would excuse the NFL and other similar organizations from this requirement.
