Why Public Speaking is not Acting

Published: Feb 3rd, 2009 | Author: Alex Bhaswara Add Comment

Having read Jane Andrew’s article entitled Public Speaking is Acting, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you why the best public speakers are not acting: they are communicating.

Acting requires memorization of a script that has been marked by the actor; i.e., pause here, smile there, increase your volume, etc. In teaching public speaking, I emphasize not marking the script because I don’t want a rote delivery.

The beauty of public speaking is that your audience often determines how your material will flow; and, good public speakers know how to work with good audiences. Anecdotes or jokes may be added on the spur if the audience is highly receptive; whereas, if the audience is unresponsive, many speakers will drop some material and move in a different direction.

In that respect, good public speakers are thinking throughout their entire delivery because they are communicating. They are not trying to be someone other than themselves. They understand and value their own individuality. And, they talk to their audience just as if they were having a conversation in their living room.

Why Franchises Work

A well-known brand identity can represent distinction in business. Working under the auspices of an recognized name can garner considerable benefits for franchise holders. The franchisee will find that this expedites many businesses processes as they do not need to consider promotion or marketing campaigns – their prospective clients are probably already aware of the company’s existence. This is vastly beneficial as consumers notoriously feel an affiliation for certain corporate identities, and are prone to remain loyal to known names, trusted products and/or services.

Being with associated with a pre-existing brand and market allows franchisees to take advantage of verifiably efficient modules together with a highly regarded business name. This means that many new comers start healthy trade on the very first day of their ventures.

YOU CAN PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET

We’ve all familiar with the adage, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” In today’s rather disturbing times of fiscal unrest this saying, though seemingly tired and somewhat clichéd, is rather apt. It stands to reason that it would be imprudent to take unnecessary risks in such unstable times. Yes. However…

Web Conferencing Service With Go to Webinar

Published: Feb 3rd, 2009 | Author: Alex Bhaswara Add Comment

In the early days finding a web conferencing service that did anything beyond the basic was not easy. Now it’s the norm! Especially with a company like Go To Webinar and GoTo Meeting. These web conferences were often held on Internet forums and bulletin boards that could only support the most basic text conversations. Graphics and other data could not easily be shared between colleagues. In recent years, however, a web conferencing service like Go To Webinar has changed the landscape forever. These web conferencing products have become considerably more advanced. Here we’re going to take a look at the types of applications available to business people.

The primary method of web conferencing is still screen sharing, though this is becoming more and more advanced as time goes by. What this means is that colleagues on different sides of the world can effectively see what each other are displaying on their computer screens. These web conference applications, like Go To Webinar and Go2Meeting, make this possible by allowing clients and colleagues separated by great distance able to communicate and share data at the click of a mouse.

Network Marketing Scams and How to Avoid Them

Published: Feb 3rd, 2009 | Author: Alex Bhaswara Add Comment

Tips for avoiding network marketing scams…

Why do we get involved in network marketing? We get involved because we want financial freedom, a better life for our families, the freedom to do what we want when we want, be our own boss, fire our boss, take luxurious vacations, and much more.

In the pursuit of freedom there are many companies out there to choose as our vehicle, but not all companies are created equally or legally. Let’s take a look on how to tell what a scam looks like.

Marketing Scams #1: Get Rich Quick.

There is no such thing as a free lunch and making money in network marketing takes a lot of time and effort at first until you build a large downline and have leverage. Companies that promise overnight riches just by singing-up and not having to take action are scams.

Marketing Scams #2: No Training.

Legitimate network marketing companies care about their distributors success and they know that not everybody knows how to market and promote a business. Successful companies provide sales training, marketing training, recruitment and rentention training, and much more.

If you come across a network marketing opportunity or are involved in a company that doesn’t provide training chances are it’s a scam.

Internet Network Marketing Recruiting at the Push of a Button

Published: Feb 3rd, 2009 | Author: Alex Bhaswara Add Comment

Network marketing recruiting made easy…

The invention of the Internet has made recruiting infinately easier and with less rejection. Network Marketers can now reach millions of prospects each second of the day at the push of a button unlike the old school ways of network marketing where one had to give presentations and cold call leads relying on their sales skills to sell product and recruit distributors.

Let us discuss the different avenues you can use now to recruit prospects at the speed of the Internet.

1) Ezines. Ezines are electronic newsletters that get sent through email to a group of people that opted-in to recieve the newsletter. The best way to recruit highly targeted prospects is to find an ezine that discusses network marketing or home based business. Once you find an ezine that fits your business opportunity contact the owner of that newsletter to place a solo ad.

2) PPC. Pay-per-click advertising is a great tool for network marketing recruiting highly targeted prospects. Google Adwords is the best advertising program to use, but you should still consider using Yahoo and other search engines because not everyone uses Google.

It is important that you educate yourself on pay-per-click advertising before implementing this strategy. Although, it’s a very good form of recruiting it’s also easy to lose your shirt.
